The Open For Business Fellowship
The Open For Business is an opportunity for employees from our coalition partners to work with our core team for 3 to 12 months on a specific aspect of the coalition. It’s a respected leadership development program that provides Fellows with exposure to global LGBT+ rights and gives them large amounts of responsibility over running key parts of a global charity.
Brunswick, GSK and McKinsey have all taken advantage of the Fellowship. There are a variety of Fellowships that we offer, and they each have a flexible length, though we suggest 3-12 months. The program greatly benefits employees by developing their key skills and exposing them to a global view on LGBT+ inclusion. The Fellowship positions we have open are listed below.
A Communications Fellow works with Open For Business to build its ability to communicate with key audiences and works with LGBT+ activists around the world to strengthen their messaging. The Fellow guides the coalition’s social media strategy, engages with reporters, creates launch strategies for reports and initiatives and suggests new communications strategies for the coalition.
A Research Fellow develops new Open For Business reports and economic briefs on specific topics or countries. The Fellow conducts research and analysis to further develop the economic and business case for LGBT+ rights, which is essential to supporting activism around the world.
A Development Fellow helps to ensure the long-term sustainability of Open For Business. The Fellow sets the coalition’s fundraising and development strategy and implements new initiatives to enhance the coalition’s financial position.
An Operations Fellow provides the coalition operational guidance and support. The Fellow will counsel the Board of Trustees on best-in-class governance and operations policies and procedures and lead their implementation. The Fellow will also work with the core team to streamline internal processes to make the coalition more efficient.
A Finance Fellow will help establish financial reporting and monitoring systems to ensure the coalition’s financial management is best-in-class.
